How do I clean and maintain my Cloud by TUSHY?Updated 13 hours ago

The Cloud by TUSHY features a retractable nozzle that stays neatly tucked away in its “poo-free cocoon” until use. The nozzle wash function automatically rinses the nozzle with running water — completely hands-free!

While a bidet seat helps keep you clean, it can’t clean itself. Like your toilet, your Cloud by TUSHY should be cleaned regularly with a mild, neutral-pH cleaner. We recommend products such as Simple Green, Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds, or any gentle soap that isn’t harsh or caustic. If you’re unsure about a cleaner, share the label with us and we’ll confirm if it’s safe.

⚠️ Avoid bleach, thinner, benzene, acidic chemicals, chloride, or hydrochloric acid detergents. These can discolor, scratch, or corrode your bidet, potentially causing damage to your home.

Poor maintenance can lead to malfunctions. Nozzle heads may clog with sediment or buildup, especially in areas with hard water. To remove calcium buildup, soak a rag or paper towel in white distilled vinegar, wrap it around the nozzle, and let it sit for 30 minutes to a few hours.

For the control panel, simply wipe it with a lightly dampened cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid excessive spraying or submerging the remote or control panel in water.

Annual Inspection

Your TUSHY was designed to last for years of improved hygiene and enjoyment. That said, all plumbing parts in your home should be reviewed and replaced periodically to ensure proper functionality and reduce any risk to your property. TUSHY is no exception to this general plumbing rule.

We recommend a quick once-a-year check. Here's what to look for:

  • Hoses and tubing — cracks, bulges, brittleness, kinks, or general wear
  • Adapters and connections — corrosion, mineral buildup, or looseness
  • Any signs of leaking, rusting, or material deterioration

If you spot any of the above:

  1. Turn off the water supply at the shutoff valve.
  2. Stop using your TUSHY until the part is replaced.
  3. Replace the affected part before using it again.

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend replacing hoses and tubing every 4 years, or sooner if you notice any signs of wear.
