Why is the spray pressure on my TUSHY Handheld Bidet too strong or too weak?Updated 12 hours ago

Water pressure varies a lot between homes. Here's how to dial yours in.

Pressure is too strong

If full pressure is uncomfortably forceful, you have two ways to reduce it.

  1. Use the slider on the Handheld Bidet. It's a variable control: push less for a lighter spray.
  2. If the slider alone doesn't bring it down enough, partially close the Shutoff Adapter by turning it a quarter-turn clockwise. This reduces the overall water flow before it reaches the Sprayer.

💦 Note: TUSHY is designed to clean away bad bacteria, not pressure-wash everything in the neighborhood. A gentle setting is perfectly effective.

Pressure is too weak

Weak spray usually comes down to one of three things.

  1. The Bidet Hose is kinked. Check that the hose runs in a smooth arc with no sharp bends or tight coils. Extend it fully and untwist any coiling.
  2. A gasket is partially blocking a connection. Unscrew each connector and confirm the gasket sits flat and doesn't cover the water hole.
  3. Your home has low water pressure. Make sure the Shutoff Adapter is fully open (handle pointing straight up) and the slider is pushed as far forward as it will go.

Pressure seems inconsistent

If pressure drops suddenly or surges, check that the Shutoff Adapter handle is fully open, not accidentally halfway. A partially open adapter cuts the flow unpredictably.
