Why is my TUSHY Handheld Bidet Sprayer leaking?Updated 12 hours ago
Leaks are the most common installation hiccup, and they're almost always fixable in a few minutes. Work through the causes below in order.
1. Check the rubber gaskets
Each connection point relies on a small black rubber gasket to create a watertight seal. If a gasket is missing, flipped, or sitting at an angle, water will escape.
- Check both ends of the Bidet Hose.
- Check the top end of the Shutoff Adapter.
Remove the leaking connection, pull the gasket out, seat it flat so it doesn't block the water hole, and reattach.
2. Check for cross-threading
If a connection was threaded at an angle, it won't seal no matter how hard you tighten it.
- Unscrew the suspect connection fully counterclockwise.
- Realign the threads carefully before turning clockwise again.
- It should feel smooth and turn freely for the first two to three turns. Resistance right away usually means cross-threading.
💦 Note: If the threads on the Shutoff Adapter are visibly damaged, reach out to us for a replacement.
3. Check the slider position
If the pressure slider on the Handheld Sprayer isn't fully in the OFF position, water can drip from the sprayer head even when you're not using it. Push the slider firmly down until you feel a click.
4. Leak from the Sprayer body itself
If the Sprayer body is cracked or leaking from inside the housing, the unit may need to be replaced. This is rare. Contact our Poo-Rus, and we'll take care of you.
⚠️ WARNING: Always close the Shutoff Adapter (handle pointing down) after use. If a leak does develop anywhere in the hose or fittings, a closed Shutoff Adapter contains it. An open one means uncontrolled water flow.
