How to uninstall your TUSHY WaveUpdated 15 hours ago
Moving? Switching toilets? Just ready to upgrade? Whatever the reason, uninstalling your TUSHY Wave is just the reverse of putting it on. Here's how to do it without breaking a sweat (or a seal).
Step 1: Turn off your water supply valve
Before anything else, locate the water supply valve behind or beneath your toilet and turn it clockwise until it's fully closed. This cuts off the water flow so you can disconnect the bidet without any surprise showers.
Step 2: Empty the toilet tank
Flush the toilet to drain the tank. Hold the handle down to release as much water as possible. This relieves pressure from the water line so you can safely disconnect the tank adapter.
Step 3: Disconnect the water line from the bidet
Locate the T-valve (tank adapter) connecting the bidet's water supply to the toilet fill valve. Unscrew the bidet's water supply hose from the bottom of the T-valve. You may want to have a small towel or cup handy — a little residual water may drip out.
Step 4: Remove the tank adapter
Unscrew the T-valve from the bottom of the toilet fill valve. Then reattach the original toilet supply hose directly to the fill valve, just as it was before installation. Hand-tighten, then snug it up with pliers — don't overtighten.
Step 5: Slide your TUSHY Wave off the Base Plate
Press the Quick Release button located at the back of the bidet seat and slide the unit forward and off the base plate. Set it aside.
Step 6: Remove the Base Plate from the bowl
Reach underneath the toilet bowl and unscrew the mounting nuts from the bolts running through the base plate and bowl. Once the hardware is loose, lift the base plate up and off the bowl. Keep the hardware somewhere safe in case you need it later.
Step 7: Reinstall your original toilet seat (if applicable)
If you removed your original toilet seat during installation, now's the time to put it back. Line up the seat bolts with the mounting holes and tighten the nuts until the seat is secure.
Step 8: Turn the water back on and check for leaks
Slowly turn the water supply valve counterclockwise to restore water flow. Let the tank fill completely, then inspect all connections — especially where the supply hose meets the fill valve — for any drips or leaks. Tighten as needed.
That's it — your TUSHY Wave has been successfully uninstalled! 👋
