How to uninstall your TUSHY OasisUpdated 15 hours ago
Time to move, switch toilets, or upgrade your setup? Uninstalling your TUSHY Oasis is just the installation process in reverse — with one extra step, since the Oasis connects to both your cold and warm water supply. Follow along and you'll be done in no time.
Step 1: Turn off your hot and cold water supply valves
The Oasis uses two water sources, so you'll need to shut off both before disconnecting anything.
Cold water: Turn the toilet's water supply valve (located behind/beneath the toilet) clockwise until fully closed.
Warm water: Turn off the hot water valve under your sink — the one your Oasis warm water line is connected to.
Don't skip the warm water valve! Skipping it means a wet bathroom floor.
Step 2: Empty the toilet tank
Flush the toilet and hold the handle down to drain as much water from the tank as possible. This relieves pressure from the cold water line so you can safely disconnect the T-valve.
Step 3: Slide your TUSHY Oasis off the Base Plate
Press the Quick Release button at the rear of the bidet seat and slide the unit forward and off the base plate. Set it aside somewhere safe.
Step 4: Disconnect the warm water line
Locate the polyurethane warm water tube running from the bidet to the hot water supply under your sink. Disconnect it from the Oasis unit using the push-to-connect fitting — press the ring inward while pulling the tube free.
Then, under the sink, unscrew the brass mini adapter from the hot water supply valve. Cap or plug the supply valve if needed, or simply reattach the original supply line.
Step 5: Disconnect the cold water line from the bidet
Locate the T-valve (tank adapter) where the bidet's cold water hose connects at the base of the toilet fill valve. Unscrew the bidet supply hose from the bottom port of the T-valve.
Step 6: Remove the tank adapter
Unscrew the T-valve from the bottom of the toilet fill valve. Reattach the original toilet supply hose directly to the fill valve — hand-tighten first, then snug it with pliers. Don't overtighten.
Step 7: Remove the Base Plate from the bowl
Reach under the toilet bowl and unscrew the mounting nuts from the bolts running through the base plate. Once the hardware is loose, lift the base plate off the bowl. Keep the bolts, nuts, and washers somewhere safe.
Step 8: Reinstall your original toilet seat (if applicable)
If you removed your original toilet seat during installation, line up the seat bolts with the mounting holes and tighten the nuts until the seat is secure and doesn't shift.
Step 9: Turn the water back on and check for leaks
Slowly open the cold water supply valve at the toilet. Let the tank fill completely and check the fill valve connection for drips.
Slowly open the warm water supply valve under the sink. Check the valve where the brass mini adapter was attached to make sure everything is snug and dry.
Wipe down both areas with a dry cloth and watch for a minute or two just to be sure.
