How do I clean and maintain my TUSHY Handheld Bidet Sprayer?Updated 11 hours ago
A little upkeep keeps your Handheld Bidet spraying strong for years. Here's the short version: be gentle, avoid bleach, and do an annual inspection.
Routine Cleaning
Wipe down the sprayer body and hose with a damp cloth and a mild, neutral pH cleaner.
Avoid spraying any liquid directly into the handle or internal parts.
⚠️ WARNING: Never use bleach, hydrochloric acid, or other harsh chemical cleaners on the hose or any plastic parts. These can cause the hose to crack and lead to water damage.
Clearing a Blocked Nozzle
If the spray feels weak or uneven, mineral deposits may have partially clogged the nozzle.
Soak the spray head in white vinegar for 30 minutes, then run water through it to clear the deposits. Do not use a sharp object to poke at the nozzle openings as this can scratch or damage your TUSHY.
Annual Inspection
Once a year, check every component for wear:
- Bidet hose: Look for cracks, kinks, or wear at the connection points
- Shutoff adapter: Check for leaks, rust, or mineral buildup
- Rubber gaskets: Make sure they’re soft, intact, and properly seated
- Sprayer body: Inspect for cracks, especially around hose connections
If you notice any damage, turn off the water supply, remove the affected part, and contact our Poo-Rus for support. As a general rule, hoses and adapters should be replaced every 4 years.
Storing the Sprayer
When not in use, keep the sprayer in its holder with the shutoff adapter in the CLOSED position.
Avoid leaving the hose on the floor where it can be stepped on, and don’t wrap it tightly around the sprayer body.
