Help! My TUSHY Travel is leaking!Updated 5 hours ago
Nobody wants a soggy bag when they're traveling with clean-butt intentions. Let's get you dry and back on the road.
First, do a parts check. Your TUSHY Travel ships with five pieces: the bottle, the cap + nozzle, the sealing ring, the threaded ring + carabiner, and the carrying case. Missing one, especially that sealing ring, is the number one reason things go drippy.
Here's where to look, in order:
1. Sealing ring is missing or misaligned
This little ring is doing more work than it gets credit for. It sits between the bottle and the cap to keep the water where it belongs. If it's missing, crooked, or twisted, water sneaks out around the cap instead. Pop the cap off, lay the ring flat and even, and reattach.
2. Cap isn't screwed on tight enough
The cap + nozzle needs a firm twist to seal up shop. If it's just resting on top or only half-threaded, you've basically built a tiny sprinkler. Unscrew it all the way and rethread until it resists or clicks into place.
3. Threaded ring is cross-threaded
The threaded ring connects your carabiner attachment to the bottle. Go on crooked during setup, and it won't seal right no matter how hard you crank it. Back it all the way off, straighten it out, and rethread.
4. Bottle has burst or has a hole in it
If the bottle itself has burst or you spot a hole or tear anywhere, especially along the accordion folds, stop right there. That's not a reseat-and-retry situation. Reach out to our Poo-Rus and we'll take it from here.
